About this deal

It’s not really something that will break the bank but certainly could be a game changer if it ends up being a formula that works well for your skin. I do like the light weight consistency too but my skin wasn’t ready for a medium cover foundation just yet.

If you wanted to add a drop of an oil, you could glow it up that way, or conversely if you wanted to matte it down, these foundation were formulated to play nicely with The Ordinary's new primers, so that's another avenue for you. I have oily acne-prone skin and this doesn't seem to aggravate it (doesn't control oil but that's not what this claims to do anyway). I don’t think it looks too great on my combination skin and doesn’t last as long as I would need it to so it’s a no from me. I find that I will need to set this with powder otherwise, it will end up looking both dewy and glowy (thanks to its gold highlights) which could be a recipe for disaster. The foundations offer a semi-matte finish and are compatible with most primers and are designed to work exceptionally well with the primers offering from The Ordinary. The lady behind the counter was actually really helpful in letting us take a mirror outside whilst I was walking around deciding on a colour. My skin looked more even without looking unnatural, and with so many options it was super easy to find a shade that worked for me. Available in 21 shades ranging from very fair to very deep, Serum Foundation SPF 15 is suitable for all skin tones.

The Ordinary Coverage foundation has a higher percentage of pigment for a more mattified, and higher coverage finish. I always prefer a higher coverage foundation so this was something that I was immediately keen to try out. You know, the one from The Ordinary — that science-flexing skincare brand that manages to offer downright cheap efficacious skin care with no filler or extraneous fluff that the Internet has been flipping out over? The shades are divided into three tiers of light, medium, and dark, which are then varied by pink, red, yellow, and neutral tones.

I really loved that the ingredients are good for your skin and m y skin never feels dried out either. There weren’t any ‘makeup artists’ on hand to help you colour match and the sales assistants pretty much left you to it. The Ordinary recommends use only if you are an experienced user of acid exfoliation and your skin is not sensitive. I have oily/combo skin with some redness and breakouts, it doesn't fully cover blemishes but I dab some concealer on and I'm fine.

I have good skin and I don’t need to wear a full coverage foundation, I just need a little coverage to give an overall smooth appearance. I bought this on a whim since I was looking for something that wasn't so heavy on my skin, especially since I am starting to get fine lines. You could do that with these but if you're looking for full heavy coverage that would defeat the purpose. Thoughts: Normally I spritz my favorite face mist on a beauty blender and then just apply concealer on the parts of my face that need some coverage, but this foundation worked as well as my normal concealer. Offering a smooth finish, this lightweight, non-oily cream texture is perfect for giving you enough coverage without looking heavy.
