The Aeldari of the craftworld call forth the Avatar in times of dire need by sacrificing an Exarch to Kaela Mensha Khaine on the eve of battle. The Avatar becomes a fiery, animated manifestation of the god of war in the wake of this blood sacrifice and leads the Aeldari armies into battle.

We’ve already seen his rules, but there’s only one way to get across just how powerful a combat monster he is – by throwing it into the crucible of combat with a series of increasingly deadly adversaries and seeing where the dice land. The Avatar of Khaine Vs. A Redemptor Dreadnought Khaine's name is a play on the Biblical character of Caine, who became the first murderer after killing his brother Abel out of envy. This can also explain why Khaine is worshipped by the Humans of the Old World, with Morr as his brother, as the latter deity is god of the dead. If the Chalice of Criel is used in the ritual, it will be presented to the Young King who will take a sip of his own blood before accepting the cup. Once the preparations are completed, the doors to the inner sanctum of the shrine will be opened, and the Young King will step forth carrying the Avatar's weapon. The doors will close behind him and the Exarchs will offer a hymn of praise to Khaine and thanks to the Young King for his or her sacrifice. The Yncarne is the morbid manifestation of Ynnead – the nascent Aeldari God of the Dead. Like its molten peer, this unsettling entity has become stronger, faster, and tougher than ever before.Ben: Posing-wise, the model had to make a feature of the bloody hand of Khaine. Starting out with the model image in the top left, we can match up all the teaser video screen caps to more or less confirm this as legit! The fire/armor image looks like it was his knee, with everything else being pretty obvious. The Aeldari god of the dead Ynnead is a dream, the embodiment of a possibility that has yet to be fully realised. Some Asuryani Seers long believed that when the last Aeldari died during the Rhana Dandra (the Final Battle with Chaos), Ynnead would be born from the Warp with the strength of all the Asuryani souls stored in the Infinity Circuits of the craftworlds and the World Spirits of the Exodites. Ynnead would then have the power to destroy Slaanesh forever in a final battle, thus correcting the mistakes which led to the Fall of the Aeldari and allowing the race to be reincarnated into a universe free of the taint of Chaos. The Avatar of Khaine isn’t the only great leader making a return this week. The Autarch from the Eldritch Omens boxed set is now available separately, and it can be customised to create your own unique hero, including a choice of male or female torso. And that’s not all – you can choose from a massive range of weapons, including a star glaive, a Scorpion chainsword, a shuriken pistol, a Reaper launcher, a Dragon fusion gun, and a death spinner. Despite his many incarnations over the years, the Avatar has always cleaved close to the original sketches by Jes Goodwin, an utterly singular design that has stood the test of time as the figurehead of the Aeldari at war.During the struggle between the Chaos Gods, Khaine was driven into the material world, where his psychic core shattered into a thousand pieces. Each piece came to rest at the heart of an Aeldari Craftworld, where it hibernated within the Craftworld's Infinity Circuit, but could be animated again to possess a metallic construct body and go to war when needed by the Craftworld. The Aeldari renaissance wouldn’t be complete without a Combat Patrol box. This set contains everything you need to start a brand new army – or add to an existing one if you’re a long-time Aeldari aficionado. A big unit of Guardians forms the core of the force, and these can be built either as Guardian Defenders or more aggressive Storm Guardians. The Yncarne, the Avatar of Ynnead, the Whispering God, surrounded by the souls of departed Aeldari. Blood Sisters and Blood Stalkers are both Battleline in this sub faction as well.
