However, the holes in his character arc were too lumpy for me to ignore, and I still felt like I didn't “get” him for swathes of the book – even when I was in his head. All of the plot points lead towards a traumatic and dramatic conclusion, but this was one of the few times I had to backtrack with a book because so much was going on. Endgame’, the breathtaking conclusion to the series, influenced by the unprecedented global events of recent years, is full of twists and turns and emotions, with its incredible characters reaching a dramatic conclusions to their stories. But all in all it was a good book and Malorie Blackman never fails to make the audience a part of the series and feel the same emotions as the characters!
